First off, apologies for not posting in a while, I've been sucked away from the baseball world in the latter half of the season...
Anyways, onto the thought. A lot of Blue Jays (myself included) fans have been drooling over the chance to land Prince Fielder this off-season. Sure, Rogers has the cash to do it, but I don't think it will happen. My reason is simple, I don't think that Toronto will pay any player more than Jose Bautista as long as he's putting up MVP calibre numbers. It's that simple. Although it's merely speculation on my part, this philosophy was also in play when it came to Aaron Hill. I didn't see any possibility of Alex Anthopoulos paying him anywhere close to the extension they gave Yunel Escobar.
Also, if the Brewers end up losing the NLCS to the Cardinals, I wonder if Prince Fielder sign a 1 year redemption deal with them...
